Blueberry smoothie

This is a simple on the go smoothie that packs a nutritional punch for breakfast. Gives you a boost of energy, fills you up quickly and makes for a complete healthy breakfast, lunch or snack. You can make a big batch that will last up to 3 days in the refrigerator. Make sure you use a jar with a tight lid to keep it fresh. This smoothie is also full of Omega-3 fatty acids, just what your body needs.

3/4 Cup frozen blueberries

1 Banana

3/4 Cup Almond milk

1 Tbsp of Flax or Chia seeds

2 Tbsp Honey (optional)

or you can add 1/2 cup of pineapple chunks.  This just gives it a sweeter taste.

Toss it all in a blender.

Blend it until it is smooth 1-2 minutes.

Pour it in glass and away you go.

Quick tip: Try freezing this blend in ice cube trays for a delicious snack the kids will love.
