Wellness LifeStyle 2

Leading a Healthy LifeStyle

In this day and age too many people are living poor unhealthy lifestyles, which put them at high risk for virtually every mental and physical illness imaginable.

With many illnesses on the rise, people are finally waking up and realizing how toxic our food and our world have become and are ready to do something about it. Years of poor nutrition, poor exercise habits, and living a stressful lifestyle along with antibiotic or other regular medicine use, plus all our exposure to chemicals in every aspect of our life set us up for many illnesses.

This is why living a wellness lifestyle is of the utmost importance especially as we age. It is a lifestyle that we as adults need to educate our own children to give them a longer lifespan. It is estimated that 1.1 percent of children born in 2010 (the latest year for which such estimates are available) will die before they reach the age of 20, compared with 10.9 percent of children born in the early

For those of us with children that is a scary thought.

Modern medicine tends to fixate on diagnosis and treatment, whereas a wellness lifestyle focuses on education, self-awareness and prevention. Our body is very much capable of healing on its own naturally. It does not need synthetic medicine to do the job for you. Plant remedies and essential oils are powerful tools that help our bodies in invaluable ways, but without a foundation of healthy diet and exercise, true wellness will be out of our reach.  Managing the stresses in our life as well as reducing the amount of toxins we are exposed to are crucial to our health.

We all have choices in life to make, but for some of us it’s not a matter of choice, but a matter of health in taking control of our lives and eliminating those toxic foods from our diets. We have 70% control over our health. Our body is the vehicle god gave us to live on this earth therefore we should take care of it by fueling it with the proper natural foods and nutrition needed to function properly.

By enjoying ones life, feeling good and energetic, mentally, physically and emotionally, determines the state of your overall health and wellness. When you don’t feel good every other aspect of your life is affected. You can live with a disease yet still feel well, healthy and happy.

It’s time for you to take the first step in taking control of your health and doing what’s right for your body.

Why Sugar is KILLING you… You can’t just “burn off” sugar…

Sugars You’ve heard a million times from health experts, bloggers, and on the news that sugar is terrible for you, but most people don’t truly understand WHY it’s so bad…
In fact, most people falsely think that if they eat sugar, they can just exercise a little bit harder that day or the next day so they can “burn it off”… Unfortunately, that kind of thinking will lead you to an early grave.

It’s not as simple as just “burning off sugar” — It’s about what sugar does internally to the cells of your body, and how sugar gums up your internal workings, causing disease.

Have you gone all day without drinking water ? Did it even occurred to you that you are thirsty?

Guess what – by the time you experience the sensation of the thirst, you are already dehydrated.

That thirst is your body calling for re-hydration.

importance-of-drinking-water-2-bgYour body is composed of roughly 60% water. That means when we are dehydrated – and most of us spend our days constantly dehydrated to some degree – we are affecting the performance of the majority of our body. Nearly all of our systems do not function as well without the proper water intake.

So, really, what does this mean? Why should we drink more water?

If you don’t drink water, you will die. It’s that important. Depending on our environment, we can live only a few days without water – maybe a week. We can live much longer without food. For most of us, we should prioritize the consumption of water far more than we currently do….

Stop with the rat race folks

EAT FRESHIf you’ve ever looked for nutrition information on the internet, then you may have realized that there are a lot of differing opinions. People seem to disagree on everything and even health professionals seem to constantly contradict each other.

But it doesn’t have to be this complicated… what is most important is to just eat real food.

Try to choose natural, unprocessed foods that resemble what they looked like in nature.  If it looks like it was made in a factory, DO NOT EAT IT.
