Our face is the first thing that makes an impression on others so it’s so important to keep it looking refreshed and polished. With all the pollutants in the air, our makeup, and even bad eating habits is what tends to put a strain on our face from day to day.  This is why you need to pamper it on a daily basis.  Below are some quick tips that will help keep your skin looking at its best.

Face Mask:

1/2 of an Avocado, 1 tsp. honey and 1/2 tbsp. oatmeal:

Smash the avocado, mix in the honey, a little ground oatmeal and mix it well.

Pat it onto your face and let it dry for about 30- 45 minutes.

I use this time to meditate while I’m lying down and relaxing. You will feel your face tightening up as it dries, then after you wash it off with a warm rag, you will see how moisturized your face will be. Love this mask. If you do not have avocado, then honey and oatmeal alone is great too.

You can also use egg whites alone.  This too helps to tighten your face and leaves it moisturized.

Night Face Cream:

I have used coconut oil alone as a night cream and love how soft my face feels in the morning. However, I am hooked on using essential oils in my coconut oil and applying directly on my face at night to help with blemishes and dark spots.  There are many essential oils you can add to the coconut oil like  geranium, lavender and Frankincense. There are many essential oils that work well for anti-aging and help targets fine line and wrinkles. I’ve tried different brands and one of my favorite is Plan therapy Anti-Aging synergy blend.

Morning facial Moisturizer:

All it takes is a wee bit of coconut oil,  let it soak into your face before applying your makeup. This makes a nice base and keeps your face moist through out the day.

Face lightening:

Mix a coconut oil with a drop of lemon essential oil and this helps  those dark blotches and works wonders on your face.

Makeup Remover:

This is an easy fix, just use coconut oil and the make-up slides right off.

Facial Cleanser:

Best natural home made facial cleanser is Oatmeal to give you a healthy glow and retain moisture.

1 cup of finely ground oatmeal

1/2 water

1 drop of chamomile essential oil

Mix all three together in a container.  It should make a nice watery paste. If you need a little more water go ahead and add it.  Let it sit for 24 hours and shake before use.  This makes an oatmeal milk that you can cleanse your face with on a daily basis.

Pimples:

What has worked wonders for me is using hydrogen peroxide on pimples, this dries them up.  After it dries, spritz your face with rose water, then lightly apply coconut oil to your face for moisturizing.
