Good hygiene should be part of your daily routine. Below are some natural tips and recipes to care for your pearly whites and keep bacteria out of your mouth.

Teeth

Homemade Toothpaste: I have used this for years and love it much better than the toxic toothpaste on the market. This kills bad breath and leaves your teeth feeling clean and slick.

1 Tbsp. Baking soda

1 Tbsp. Coconut Oil (melted)

1 drop doterra onguard essential oil

1 drop peppermint essential oil

Mix it well, pour into a container and brush lightly in circular motion. This mix leaves your teeth feeling clean and polished.

Teeth Whitening:

Grab a teaspoon (1 tsp.) of coconut oil and swish it around in your mouth for 2 minutes then spit it out in your trash can (not the sink, it will clog it up). Next brush your teeth. Do this everyday for 1 week and see your teeth slowly whiten.

Gum treatment:

Himalayan pink salt. Mix a teaspoon of salt in warm water, gargle daily and in time you will see healthy gums.

Mouthwash:

For essential oil lovers here’s a great mixture for mouthwash. 16oz dark glass bottle, fill it up with distilled water, add 3 drops of eucalyptus, 3 drops of melaleuca and 4 drops of peppermint. Shake it well and shake before each use. It’s a very powerful mouthwash that kills all the bacteria in your mouth. My boys love it much better then store bought stuff.

From eating healthy nutritional foods and staying away from sugary foods will help maintain healthy bones, skin, and teeth.  As much as you would like bright white teeth, just stay away from the bleaching trays.  This is unnatural and eats up the enamel of your teeth. I was a die hard bleacher and had to pay the price for having pearly whites. I now have gone years without bleaching and my teeth are back to its natural healthy color and stronger than what it was while I was bleaching.
